Olives tend to hatch year around, but I’m trying to remember when we should expect another concentrated event. Is it in November? I write this kind of thing down in my log, but I’ve misplaced it.
Haven’t fished the J since July. I’ve been out of town since the end of Sept until Oct 14th. However, I have fished or hiked down Spring and lower bald eagle last week. I get the impression that a concentrated emergence hasn’t happened yet on these two waters. What few BWO are out, its not enough to really get the fish going. The water may need to cool. I suspect the same is true for the J. It would be too bad if the major fall BWO emergence coincides with spawning. I predict a late spawn, however.
